TO GOD BE THE GLORY

We did a little activity with the leaders of our youth mentorship program. We were asked to be alert and sensitive to the Holy Spirit, searching His heart in order to create a picture of what He was wanting to reveal to His daughter that very moment. How can she be encouraged today… This was the image I was given by a dear sister in Christ… a broken window, darkness, and light coming through.

When I was given this image, I knew somewhat of its meaning… but the Lord has continued to open my eyes up to exactly what it was He was revealing to me.

This has been a season of many ups and downs, deep darkness, but by His grace, He has given me vision to see the light!

I could not stop thinking about the broken window though…. why was the window broken? A friend of mine in an online bible study I’m a part of once said, “brokenness is God’s opportunity.” It’s in our brokenness that our Savior can come in and reveal His tender and loving heart for us. He can come and heal. He mends what is broken and in the mending, He completely transforms.

Why was He, who is whole (far from broken) looking through a broken window, I wondered? I believe that was my Jesus revealing to me that He fully gets, grasps, and understands the great pain we go through in this busted up world. He is our great High Priest who knows what it’s like to be human, He emptied Himself and came to this earth as man. Not to be served, but to serve. He knows what it feels like to be rejected or simply not accepted. To suffer grave measures and be persecuted for boldly and courageously living out a life— sold out.

Ask yourself today… Where is it that you see brokenness in your own life as God’s opportunity? Let Him do the mending and I promise you greater light will shine through! To God be the glory friends! ❤️

In a world of noise, writing is the catalyst that drives my focus back to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and reminds me of the hope I have in Him— nothing has changed, yet everything has changed.
