THE LIFTER OF MY HEAD

Praise the Lord that when we feel the pain of living in this broken world, and when we feel it deep, He is the lifter of our heads.

A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoking flax He will not quench.

Isaiah 42:2

He doesn’t come and smother the coals that are about to burn out, no… He comes and touches them and again the fire burns bright. When we are ready to throw in the towel and give up, He never is! He sees the big picture. He sees how this moment in time is going to have great significance for His Kingdom. And that’s why He allows the pain… because somehow through pain, beauty is built, and He knows it.

We can’t get from A to C without going through B… and as we go through B… He promises to be with us, which implies that He is close to us and He is for us. As we endure, He strengthens us, helps us, and holds us up with His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). Nothing that is held up by God’s hand can be brought down.

Go in peace my brothers and sisters!

In a world of noise, writing is the catalyst that drives my focus back to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and reminds me of the hope I have in Him— nothing has changed, yet everything has changed.
