I am convinced that the Lord has called me to higher heights. In fact He’s called us all there. How do we get there, you might ask?

In close relationship.

By focusing on that which is unseen, not that which is seen. By setting our minds on things above. By seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness in everything we do. By being faithful to do exactly what He’s called us to TODAY.

I’m confident that step by step, every leap of faith, every moment of obedience, every time we choose faithfulness, not by human strength but by His Spirit, He will lead us and guide us to exactly what He has laid out for each and every one of us.

He will light up our path.

This path is best taken in steps… sometimes in leaps, sometimes in bounds, sometimes even in strides, but always one-step-at-a-time.

I wonder if king David felt anything like I did today when He had already received anointing from God to be king but first had to go back to tending sheep… Thinking, this is so not what I’m destined for… what am I doing here?

Right now is our time for preparation. Our Potter is up to something! It’s up to us to trust. He is building a foundation and making us ready to live out our God given destiny. The foundation is important… otherwise we might just topple over… or come crashing down. I am here to remind you of that.

Would we be like the seven who saw the plumbline in Zerubbabel’s hand for the building of the temple, and rejoiced! Because we know our God is good and that in His time He will provide the rest.

We do not despise the day of small things.

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

Galatians 6:9 NKJV

Today I vow to see this time as the foundational time that it is. I will not lose heart even in the midst of what seems mundane. My faith will stand. I will hold tight to my Master’s hand.

I’ll be patient. I will not run ahead. Not until I get the green light… and even then… I won’t run. No. I’ll take the next brave step.

In a world of noise, writing is the catalyst that drives my focus back to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and reminds me of the hope I have in Him— nothing has changed, yet everything has changed.
