Life takes a bit of time and a lot of relationship. (The Shack)

The root of anxiety is uncertainty. Everyone has uncertainty in life but if you haven’t experienced safety in the uncertainty then you don’t build up the resilience and it ends up wreaking havoc.

What a relief to know that when I’m uncertain, He is my certainty. Because of what happened on the hill of Calvary I have this sweet assurance.

Christ is my living hope.

I’m certain of my relationship with the One whom my heart was made for. We’ve been reconciled! I’m certain that God will fulfill His every promise, and the work He began in me, He will bring to completion. I’m certain that I’ve been given a Helper, the Spirit of truth, my counsellor, my guide. I am a warrior in Jesus name, and greater works will I do. I am certain that I’m a daughter of the Most High King. I have not received the spirit of fear but the spirit of adoption, by which I cry out, Abba, Father. I’ve been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. I have been given a new inheritance, Christ’s! I am certain that nothing will separate me from the love of God. Jesus endured that for me on the cursed tree. I am certain that I am forgiven, my sins once red like crimson have been washed whiter than snow. I’m certain that I’ve been given life and it’s life eternal. I am no longer dead in my trespasses and sins. I’ve been made alive through Jesus Christ. I’m certain that I am no longer a slave. I’ve been set free, not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! I’m certain of my standing with God, I have been made right, the verdict is in, I’ve been found not guilty, my debt has been paid in full. I’m certain that this world is not my home, I am a pilgrim on a journey, heaven is my home. One day I will see my Savior face to face and we will spend forever in a place where there will be no more death, no more sorrow, no more tears, a place where the streets are paved with gold.

When Jesus said, “it is finished” on the cross, those 3 words were our guarantee. This and so much more is what He accomplished for you and for me. This is your new reality.

Thank you Lord for being our future, our hope, our joy, our everything!

Take us deeper!

In a world of noise, writing is the catalyst that drives my focus back to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and reminds me of the hope I have in Him— nothing has changed, yet everything has changed.
