A friend of mine shared this picture with me that she had been given of what God has been calling her to. She pictured a sign in the distance that said KINGDOM GOALS. She was in a race and her only responsibility was to run towards that sign, give it everything she’s got to get to the finish line. To chase hard after the kingdom of God and His righteousness, to love the Lord her God with all her heart, soul, mind and strength, trusting that as she runs everything she needs will be added to her.

I loved this analogy… When we are running full fledge trusting, we are not distracted by whatever blows by us or lags behind us, no. We recognize those things weren’t meant for us. We are not discouraged or worried. We are confident in the One who knows us and gives us exactly what we need to succeed. Our eyes are focused on the goal— Jesus Christ. Our hope, assurance, and joy is in Him alone. And the only way we can add another to our race is if their focus is the same. Only if they are running at the same speed and in the same direction. Otherwise you both will fall behind. That’s how a relationship flourishes, and that is how this race is made simple.

By keeping our focus on the end goal— the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

In a world of noise, writing is the catalyst that drives my focus back to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and reminds me of the hope I have in Him— nothing has changed, yet everything has changed.
