In the moment when life hits you hard and you feel the weight and burden of a life that is out of your control. Remember, you always have a choice…

The fear of the Lord:

“I used to see God as a ruling tyrant. I wondered what He might do next. (Just when and how He was going to strike again).
The fear of the Lord as I understand it now is an awareness and acknowledgment of His holiness (set apart, different). Our response is this reverence and worship.”

Trillia Newbell

We trust Him because we know Him and we know He is worthy of all our trust.

Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger. But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
Psalm 34:9-10

You can choose to trust the One who is in control. The One who has you in the palm of His loving hands that never run dry.

Choose truth today.

Choose to receive His love, being assured that in every moment He never stops loving you.

Choose to stand in faith believing He has the very best for you. Believing that you don’t lack a thing.

Choose to believe the wait you felt you were on really isn’t a wait after all.

When we start to think we are waiting for something, we begin to dwell on it, and on the fact that the Lord hasn’t given it. We begin to doubt Him. (Can He really be good if He’s going to hold back this from me?) We stop running to Him because we don’t fully trust Him.
The truth is all you need is found in Christ. Right now you are whole. Even if your feelings don’t tell you so. You’ve been given life, life to the fullest. You lack no good thing.

Choose to believe for right now whatever it is that you feel you don’t have and need must not be good for you, or else He would have given it.

Choose His peace, that surpasses all understanding.

“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Choose to have confident expectation and active hope in the Lord, ALWAYS! Expect great things. And watch Him act.

Choose to believe He’s a good, good Father. And you are His child. He is your provider. He only gives good gifts.

Choose to respond like Job after he lost more than he could bear. Crying out and saying naked I came, naked I will return. Whether He gives or takes away, blessed be His Name. (Job 1:21)

Choose to worship Him. For He is worthy of all praise. (Revelation 4)

Choose joy.

Choose to remember He is the potter, we are the clay. We are all the work of His hands. He has the very best in mind and the good He has for you is in conforming you to the image of His Son. (Romans 8:32-33)

Choose to let self die so Christ can reign in you. So His glory can be revealed. Christ can be seen. So people will ask and be drawn by His life in you. (What makes you different? I want that!)

Choose to see beyond this moment, this momentary affliction, and choose to believe that no amount of suffering or hardships you endure on earth can even compare to the glory that will be revealed in eternity. (Romans 8:28)

Choose to see suffering as a blessing. (The fellowship you get to have with Jesus. Just blows my mind.)

“But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:7-11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Choose to fix your eyes on Jesus the author and finished of your faith who for the JOY set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2)

Choose to see the depth of what He has done for you to give you salvation. His faithfulness in His pursuit of you. He loved you first. Why would He stop now?

Choose to see the good in every situation. His good that has eternity in mind always.

Choose to feast at His table. On His living word that never returns void and that will never pass away.

Choose to live today. To soak it up and be thankful for all that comes your way.

Choose to see every day as the gift that it is.
Will you be faithful to His call on your life each and every day? No matter how pointless or monotonous, or of no value it may seem? (Matthew 25:23)

Choose to see life as the miracle it is. The breathe you are given every morning not by obligation but because He chooses to give you life.

Choose to rejoice in His mercies that are new every morning. (Lamentations 3:21-26)

Choose not to fret. It only causes harm. (Psalm 37:8b)

Choose to be led by Him. Being present in today because we are not necessarily promised tomorrow. What we’ve been given is today and we are promised strength for today.
(Deuteronomy 33:25 “As thy days so thy strength shall be.”)

Will we be careful stewards of this precious life He has lent us?

Choose another. Choose to put others above yourself, to pray for them, to reach out serve and love them, to see them.

Choose to trust Him. Laughing without fear of the future because the only One you fear is the Lord.

Choose to respond with a grateful heart no matter what comes your way because you are certain that He has allowed it for your good, and for His glory.

Choose to renew your mind on how you define life and the meaning of a full life. (Romans 12:1-2)

You are not a victim. You’ve been chosen. You are His. You’ve been given all you need for right now. You have a choice.

Start living.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Will you choose to search for Him until you find Him? (Acts 17:26-28)
Will you enter into that beautiful exchange of coming to really know Him and allowing Him to know you?
(This is the most intimate, the most completing relationship you will ever have, and it’s forever!)

Will you take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ? (2 Corinthians 10:4-6)

Will you seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness? (Matthew 6:33)

Will you choose to see the beauty in what seems like ashes?

Will you choose to adore Him, telling Him how amazing He is, and just how much you love and delight in Him. The lover of your soul.

Will you begin to recognize the truth of the matter is that He is all you need.

Nothing can separate you from His love. Not a thing. (Romans 8:35-39)

He is for you, not against you. He fights on your behalf.

Would you choose to seek the Lord today. To seek His glory and His perfect will for your life.

I can promise you this– you will never regret it.

“I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭8:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In a world of noise, writing is the catalyst that drives my focus back to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and reminds me of the hope I have in Him— nothing has changed, yet everything has changed.
