HIS LOVE– my foundation, your foundation!
Sure, steadfast, complete.
Rooted: strengthened with roots.
Grounded: to lay the foundation.
“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:14-21 NKJV
I was on a walk with the Lord the other day and He gave me this promise. I took one look at the trees in the distance. They appeared to be dead, but yet they were still very much alive. There were dozens of them. Lately that’s kind of how I’ve been feeling in my spirituality– kind of dead. Just waiting for that day I’d wake up and feel alive… full of passion again.
And this is what the Lord said deep down in my heart right when I glanced up at the lifeless tree before me…
It has roots,
so do you!
I AM FAITHFUL
Your foundation is in Me. It is steadfast. Sure. Certain. Unchanging. SEALED.
You died and have been raised. Your life is now hidden with Christ. You are seated in the heavenly realms, at the right hand of the Father. You’ve been given a position of honor, an intimacy that can’t be quenched, and a royal identity. You are called His Son whom He loves so dearly.
One day we will reign with Him. We will enter with Him into glory. This is our reality!
The day is coming
Are you ready?
Hidden with Christ: His Sons life NOW covers your own.
We’ve been given the identity IN CHRIST. We have become partakers of His life!
What is true of Christ is now true of you!
God treats you as free from the guilt of your sins as if you had died on the cross and paid for it in torment yourself.
The essence of being a Christian is not that I’m emulating Christ. Though I am as a Christian, but that’s not the main thing. And the essence of being a Christian is not that I’m listening to Christ or that I’m obeying Christ. Or that I’m admiring Christ. Or even that I’m loving Christ… Even though all those things would be true of a Christian. That’s not the main thing. The essence of being a Christian is that I am IN CHRIST.
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”
Colossians 3:1-4 NKJV
Dear one… I can promise you one thing… He’s at a perfect work! ALWAYS! Making everything beautiful in its time!
You can trust Him!
Even when you cannot see it. In even the most mundane areas of your life, and even in those moments where we feel so far from covered by Gods grace.
A promise for you…
He is our HOPE
Put your hope in the Lord!
Wait on Him.
Fix those eyes on Him.
AT ALL TIMES!
He does not fail.
Surrender over everything to the Almighty Father today! You will not regret it!
“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”
Psalm 42:5 NIV
Even when your world around you may be crashing down. You will not be shaken because your hope isn’t in the world, or the things around you.
Your security is solely in Him!
The One who knows your deepest desires and gives only good gifts! Sometimes different than what we imagined, but always the very BEST!
The only time He holds back is to GIVE!
– A friend
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
Romans 8:28-29 NKJV
“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:6-7 NIV
He does not disappoint.
He is faithful.
His love endures forever!
Thank you Lord that because Christ died for me. I no longer live. It’s Christ who lives in me. And the life I live now in the flesh. I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me (Galatians 2:20). Amen!
