imageThis is a verse I have been clinging too as of lately…

If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.
‭‭II Timothy‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I choose to dwell only on You. Who You are. Your faithfulness! Your sovereignty. Your greatness. Your holiness. Your graciousness. Almighty God, You! And only You!

You never change.

You are constant. You are just. You are merciful. You are able. You are glorious. You are all-knowing, all-wise, all-powerful, all-present, all-sufficient. Anything is possible with You. You are alive! You are good. You are zealous. You are kind. You are full of joy. You are a God who desires relationship. You are worthy. You are love. You accept all with open arms. You are patient. You are healer. You are provider. You are the giver of faith. In You there is freedom. You freely give grace.

You are infinite!

All you ask is for us just to come…

But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I serve a God who is far bigger than all that which seems to enslave me!
He is the alpha and omega! The beginning and the end! He has the final say! And I already know He wins!

I choose to remember. To remember the ways You have been faithful. To remember the work You have done. To remember just who You are!

Peace floods my life when my focus is on You, and only You. Worshiping You, praising You, because You are so worthy to be praised! My heart bursts!

Everything fades away and I can finally see you clearly. You are so beautiful. You give me butterflies. My God, You amaze me! I long to give You all the adoration You deserve!

You are always at work. Even in the hardest of times. They have been the best of times… Where the work really is done. When I look back, those were times when real growth occurred. An effortless kind. When You my Father were in total control.

It was no longer in my hands.

Yes at times it has been a rough go, but I make the choice now not to dwell on that.

I choose joy. A vibrant kind.

I choose to fix my eyes on things unseen, those things that last. I choose Him, and if this is His best I choose to count my blessings and be extremely grateful for the life I live right now. Right here.

I choose to not spend my time and energy on those things I don’t have, or fret about things I can’t control. I choose to thank Him for the things I have been given and to have a response like Job when he lost pretty much all he had on this earth.

“And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD.””
‭‭Job‬ ‭1:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I choose to respond in worship!

Oh the blessedness of possessing nothing. I choose to see everything I have as not my own, but His.

I choose to live the victorious life I’ve been given the freedom to enter into. The life I’ve been called to. To walk in newness of life. I’m a slave of righteousness. I am no longer a slave to sin. It is finished!

I choose to fix my mind on what you have done. Not on what I still have yet to overcome.

I choose to dispose of the lies and cling to Your truth.

You are for us.
You are not against us.
Your love never changes.
You love us unconditionally.
Your love transforms our hearts, our minds, our souls, and our lives.

All your plans are out of pure love for Your sons and daughters.

I know you have the very BEST in store.

Father, I trust You.

You are a FAITHFUL!

I choose to again, and again give myself over to You.

My life is in Your hands, and you are my place of refuge, my resting place.

It is when we are weak that You are strong!

The wait. Its not always easy but that really is a great place to be. Where we’ve given Him total control. It’s the place of rest. It’s the place of trust. When we really have to put our all into His sovereign hands and believe that what He says, is.

To wait… Entails confident expectation and active hope in the Lord. Never passive resignation.  – Unknown

For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.                           Isaiah‬ ‭64:4‬ ‭NKJV

He will never fail us. We can trust Him.

So today I choose not to fixate on my struggle. On the mountain I have yet to climb. On the strive for perfection. On the places I feel like I am failing. On the pile of emotions that seem to overwhelm my day. The only fixating I will do, is on You.

I meditate on You, my King.

I choose to believe that You are working and it’s not up to me to make myself holy. It’s up to me to believe in You. To stand on your promises. To accept Your grace, it’s sufficient. To walk in obedience. To glorify You in all I do. To surrender. To walk as a new creation. To know You. To rejoice. To fix my eyes on You. To love You and allow You to love me, just the way I am.

To receive Your love.

I choose Your peace. I choose Your joy. I choose Your hope. I choose Your strength!

I choose Your life.

I say yes to Your work.

I say yes to Your hand guiding my every step.

I say yes to Your timing.

I say yes to obedience to Your ways, even when it makes no sense.

I say yes to Your will.

I say yes to Your love.

Thank you Lord for loving me so well. Your love really is extravagant!

In a world of noise, writing is the catalyst that drives my focus back to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and reminds me of the hope I have in Him— nothing has changed, yet everything has changed.
